Empowering Vulnerable Women: Highlights from the Women Up LTTA Training in Braga

The Women Up Project recently achieved a significant milestone in its mission to empower vulnerable women through skill-building and career counseling. From September 15 to 21, 2024, our dedicated partners in Braga hosted the Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA), a transformative event that brought together adult educators across Europe.

This press release highlights the impactful outcomes of the LTTA training, a cornerstone of the Women Up initiative. We continue working toward fostering economic independence and social inclusion for women facing barriers to employment.

Preparing Educators for a Lasting Impact

The LTTA training equipped educators with the tools and knowledge to train 120 women currently out of the workforce. Participants explored the project’s innovative online platform and course materials aligning with the European Life Skills Framework (LifeComp).

The program is designed to address the challenges faced by single mothers, refugees, immigrants, and other women from vulnerable groups. It empowers trainers to help these women build resilience, boost their confidence, and develop essential personal and professional skills for economic independence.

Courses Open to All

The Women Up platform is now available to a wider audience. Trainers, cultural mediators, and social workers are invited to explore its nine comprehensive modules, which focus on personal development, social integration, and professional readiness.
