Empowering Vulnerable Women Through Tailored Course Modules

WOMEN UP Project Develops Comprehensive Training Framework for Adult Educators Across Europe

The WOMEN UP project continues its mission to empower vulnerable women across Europe through career counseling and targeted educational initiatives. A key milestone of the project is the Tailored Course Modules Development, designed to strengthen the capacity of adult educators, trainers, cultural mediators, and social workers to effectively support single mothers, refugees, migrants, and other disadvantaged women on their journey toward employment and social inclusion.

A Comprehensive Framework for Empowerment

The newly developed course modules provide a comprehensive learning framework based on the European LifeComp Framework, focusing on personal, social, and learning-to-learn competences. Through nine carefully structured modules, participants gain practical tools to understand the specific challenges faced by vulnerable women and learn strategies to foster resilience, autonomy, and active participation in the labour market.

From exploring LifeComp principles to applying counselling techniques and non-formal education methods, the course enables educators to guide women in upskilling, self-awareness, and integration  helping them take confident steps toward a sustainable professional future.

Impact Across Europe

The WOMEN UP training reached a remarkable 227 participants across Europe, reflecting the project’s growing impact and inclusivity:

  • English: 86
  • Spanish: 38
  • Portuguese: 28
  • Greek: 20
  • French: 20
  • Slovenian: 12
  • Arabic: 14
  • Ukrainian: 9

These numbers represent educators and trainers who are now better equipped to create inclusive learning environments and support women in vulnerable situations to achieve employability and self-sufficiency.

Access the Course Modules

The course modules are available online through the WOMEN UP Moodle platform, offering an open-access resource for adult educators and organisations working in women’s empowerment and social inclusion.
