The WOMEN UP project is an initiative dedicated to empowering vulnerable women through career counseling. It supports single mothers, refugees, migrants, and other disadvantaged groups in achieving employability and social integration.
The project has begun its mission of empowering vulnerable women through career counseling and training programs across Europe. It focuses on helping these women access the labor market and improve their socio-economic conditions, providing essential support to those who face significant barriers.
WOMEN UP addresses the challenges that vulnerable women face in Europe, such as limited access to education, employment, and support systems. By providing tailored career counseling programs, training for adult educators, and organizing events, the project connects women with opportunities for meaningful employment and social inclusion. This targeted approach is key to empowering vulnerable women through career counseling and bridging the gap between them and potential job opportunities.
Supporting Empowerment and Inclusion
The WOMEN UP project aims to provide practical support that helps vulnerable women navigate the labor market. Training programs for adult educators in Portugal, counseling programs for women, and course modules focused on life skills are all designed to empower vulnerable women through career counseling. These activities address the needs of women facing employment and integration barriers.
Key Objectives and Actions:
- Create Career Counseling Programs: Develop programs that meet the specific needs of vulnerable women, including single mothers, refugees, and migrants.
- Train Educators and Trainers: Equip educators with the skills to support vulnerable women in their journey to upskill.
- Encourage Community Collaboration: Partner with educational institutions, social centers, and community organizations to provide support and guidance for women in need.
- Promote Integration: Advocate for the inclusion of vulnerable women in education, training, and employment systems.
